2p! Russia is a fan interpretation of the Hetalia character as "Another Color". His appearance is mostly agreed on in fandom, being based on his Nyo! counterpart's design, with his personality being somewhat agreed upon as well.

The most common human names given to him are Viktor Braginsky (Виктор Брагинский), though Vladimir (Влади́мир) and Ivan (Иван) are also common.

Appearance

2p! Russia's appearance varies depending on the depiction. He is shown to be physically similar to his counterpart, though with many color differences.

2p! Russia is most often depicted with either brown, dark gray, or black hair, with it usually being short like his counterpart's, though is sometimes depicted as being long and tied into a low ponytail. His eyes are nearly always red. He is often portrayed with dark circles under his eyes.

His clothes are the same as his counterparts, but with a black and red color scheme. His scarf is usually either grey or red. His coat is black with red trimming. Sometimes, it is neat and tidy, while others, it is tattered at the ends. In some other artworks, he is shown to have a more royal uniform. He is often depicted with a shovel, a pistol, or a water pipe like his counterpart that he uses as a weapon.

Sketches

Himaruya created sketches of the Allies imagined as 2p!s, but they never became canon as the sketches weren't finalized. Three concepts were created for 2p! Russia. The first shows him somewhat modest and shy. He is holding a shovel and wearing a fuzzy hat. He wears many layers of winter clothing and a longer scarf.

The second concept shows him wearing a flashy military uniform with lots of medals and a military hat with a brim. He lacks his typical scarf. He is shown holding a pistol with a long cape down his back.

The final concept is him wearing a thick overcoat and holding bundles of sunflowers. He wears a fuzzy hat and is smiling and cheerful. He is depicted wearing his scarf.

It is seen here that the fandom’s interpretations of 2p! Russia are relatively different than what Himaruya originally created.

Personality

2p! Russia has no official personality. Fans of Hetalia have created personalities for the 2p! characters, some more widely accepted than others. Common and well-known depictions are listed below.

General Personality

• He is the stoic, quiet type. He does not speak often, usually preferring not to speak at all.
• He is distrusting of people and prefers solitude over the company of other people because of his troubled childhood full of forced solitude.
• He can be very bitter and judgmental. He is bluntly honest and replies sarcastically to anything he thinks is stupid.
• He is incredibly serious and mature. It's very hard to embarrass him, as he's perfected the art of the poker face. He does not show any sort of emotion, except around those he deeply trusts.
• Though more uncommon, he has also been depicted as being a total pacifist and refuses to enact any sort of violence on others. He is very peaceful.

Specific Traits and Quirks

• He prefers to manipulate others than take direct violent action.
• He grew up privileged, unlike his counterpart.
• He played a big role in the Bloody Sunday event. He is shown to have been working extremely hard to make his country stronger, but his people didn't seem to appreciate it, with them marching towards the Winter Palace to present a petition to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. 2p! Russia is shown to be shocked at this and told his guards to get rid of the marchers, and that he would help. He is shown to regret this decision and tries to avoid the subject.
• He is shown to have some skill in cooking and has a love of herring and mayonnaise especially. He also states that he loves 1p! England's cooking on some stories or blogs.
• He is portrayed as an insomniac in general, explaining why he always looks tired and has bags under his eyes.
• He is generally portrayed as being lazy and a procrastinator when it comes to work, or very serious and dedicated.
• Even though 2p! Russia in some fan-fictions or just generally is portrayed as not caring about many things such as his work, other people, or his country, it is commonly shown that he can indeed be serious about these things, especially hockey.
• He is often portrayed as a sadist.
• Some people think he sees himself as sensible rather than heartless, which is how the rest of the world sees him.
• His heart may give him unwanted emotions, such as sadness, or fall out of his chest a lot. This may result in him locking it away in a box.

Relationships

2p! Russia's relationships depend on the person making the story. Common and well-known depictions are listed below.

• 1p! Russia - It has also been stated, albeit rarely, that 2p! Russia is known to get angry at people when they bully his 1p! counterpart. He deems it in poor taste, and thinks it is very rude and uneducated.
• 2p! Belarus - He sees 2p! Belarus as an annoyance because of her positivity and sensitive emotions. He will still become very protective of her in certain situations, however. In one depiction, he loved her very deeply as a friend before she died, which left him feeling like everyone he grows close to will disappear. 2p! Russia is often depicted as being incapable of knowing how to treat his sisters, thus coming off as rude and insensitive. The siblings still love each other, even though they don't get along very well.
• 2p! Ukraine - He sees her as an annoyance. She often acts like the responsible older sister when the siblings fight. In some depictions, she is obsessed with her brother like 1p! Belarus is with 1p! Russia.
• 2p! England - They are close friends, as they spent their childhood together and took care of each other.
• 2p! Germany - They have a sour relationship because of World War II.
• 2p! Japan - 2p! Japan and 2p! Russia are strong allies. Despite how often they fought in the past, they are very much alike. They appreciate each other's thoroughness and habit of not letting loose ends hang. Many people believe that they used to be in a relationship.
• 2p! Poland - They seem to have a good relationship, some fans even thinking that they have a romantic connection.
• 2p! Finland - His relationship with 2p! Finland is generally negative. They may stare each other down at meetings until the other gives in and mumbles insults about the other.

1p! Russia vs. 2p! Russia

• 1p! Russia wants to make friends. 2p! Russia is usually depicted as not caring about friends, though he may just be hiding his desire for friends behind his ice-cold aura.
• 1p! Russia has a dark aura surrounding him, despite his near-permanent smile. 2p! Russia is just as intimidating, though he rarely smiles.
• 1p! Russia can be manipulative and pushy. 2p! Russia can also be manipulative, but can be outright violent as well.
• 1p! Russia had a rough, lonely childhood. 2p! Russia may have had the same dreary childhood, but he may be also depicted as having a more privileged one.

Common 2p! Traits

It is common for 2p!s to be portrayed as violent and obsessive. To most, they are a darker version of the original nations. However, because the original nations can be portrayed in the same way by the fandom, how much hold this has depends on the person making the story, artwork, or cosplay.

2p! Russia is often given a shovel, a pistol, or a water pipe as a weapon. He can sometimes be depicted as a sadist, though is also often depicted as being a pacifist. He may have cannibalistic traits, much like 2p! England.

He is also depicted to sometimes stalk other people, including other nations. Fans are unsure on why he does this, whether it be to gain intelligence on them, or for another darker reason. 2p! Russia has been said to commit kidnappings, though it is unclear what his intentions are behind them.
