2p! Austria is a fan interpretation of the Hetalia character as "Another Color". His appearance is inconsistent within the fandom, though his personality is somewhat agreed upon.

The most common human name used is Roland Edelstein, though his canon 1p! name, Roderich is used as well.

Appearance

There are two major interpretations of 2p! Austria.

The most common is themed with dark reds and black. Sporting a red coat, black jabot, and hair. Like his 1p!, he wears glasses. However, these tend to be smaller, round, and red. He is notably more expressive and is often depicted smiling. Another, albeit less common depiction, has an orange and blue color scheme. There are no distinct physical differences, other than the latter having much longer hair often tied with a blue ribbon. The two outfits seem to be recolored versions of 1p! Austria's.

There are not many physical differences between 1p! and 2p! Austria, with both wearing similar outfits and appearances. Both carry a small mole on their left cheek and have a distinguished curl in their hair.

Along with rough sketches of 2p! Italy and 2p! Japan, Himaruya published a rough sketch of 1p! Japan and a rough sketch of Austria in a unique uniform. This may or may not be a sketch for a 2p! version of Austria. In the sketch, Austria is depicted wearing a long, fluffy coat and is holding some sort of long item. He still wears his typical glasses.

Personality

2p! Austria has no official personality. Fans of Hetalia have created personalities for the 2p! characters, some more widely accepted than others. Most of 2p! Austria's depictions can be compared to those of 1p! Prussia. Common and well-known depictions are listed below.

• He is arrogant, with a bratty attitude. He prefers to goof around.
• Depending on interpretation, he could be loud-mouthed or have a Shakespearean vocabulary.
• He is described as zany and perverted.
• He rarely shows he cares for others.

• He's often shown as a necromancer, having outlandish interests.
• He plays the electric guitar, and likes rock music.
• He finds sea creatures rather beautiful.

• As with his 1p!, 2p! Austria is often paired with both 2p! Prussia and 2p! Hungary.

1p! Austria vs. 2p! Austria

• While one of 1p! Austria's defining characteristics is his love for classical music, 2p! Austria has a love for more modern music and doesn't share his counterpart's musical talent.
• 2p! Austria is very chaotic and unmannered, while his counterpart is described as easygoing and well-spoken.

Common 2p! Traits

It is common for 2p!s to be portrayed as murderous and violent. To most, they are a darker version of the original nations. However, because the original nations can be portrayed in the same way by the fandom, how much hold this has depends on the person making the story, artwork, or cosplay.

2p! Austria sometimes is depicted as practicing dark magic, and is far more mischievous than his 1p!.
