2p! Germany is an original character design by Hidekaz Himaruya called "Another Color". His appearance is official, but his personality is not, and is depicted in many ways throughout the fandom.

The most popular human name for him is Lutz. Other names given to him by the fandom are Luther and Siegfried. Like his 1p!, the fandom usually gives him the surname Beilschmidt after his brother.

Appearance

2p! Germany is shown to be physically similar to his counterpart, but with multiple color differences.

Germany's counterpart bears a scar on his left cheek and three long, deep scars down his right forearm. His hair is slightly cooler-toned than his counterpart's. His eyes are purple, dark lines being shown underneath them. He is depicted with a white tank top with a high-collared brown jacket laid across his shoulders. His pants are black, his left pocket being adorned with a cross and chain. He also wears a brown cap and matching brown gloves. He wears an iron cross around his neck like his counterpart. He carries a large knife as well.

Some fan designs stray from the original artwork, however. In some fanworks, he may be seen with tattoos or messy hair. In others, he looks more like his Nyo! counterpart.

Personality

2p! Germany has no official personality. Fans of Hetalia have created personalities for the 2p! characters, some more widely accepted than others. Common and well-known depictions are listed below.

General Personality

• He is a delinquent. He is often quite sloppy. He lacks the "soldier attitude" of his counterpart, and generally goes with the flow. Can be quite lazy.
• He acts arrogant and boastful, similar to 1p! Prussia. Can still be very loyal, however, similar to his counterpart.
• He is quite skilled when dealing with the opposite sex, and can be portrayed as a pervert and a ladies man.
• He is very kinky as has many fetishes, most particularly BDSM and S&M. In some dirtier, more mature fanfictions, this can be expressed along with his exploration into pet play. He is a sadist, so he is always the dominate.
  • On the other hand, he can also be depicted as being clueless about all forms of fetishism and only enjoys vanilla sex as contrast his kinkier counterpart.

Specific Traits and Quirks

• He goes partying a lot. His motto is "live young, wild and free".
• He still harbors a love for dogs, much like his 1p! counterpart.

Relationships

2p! Germany's relationships depend on the person making the story. Common and well-known depictions are listed below.

• 2p! Germania - Depending on the depiction, 2p! Germania may either be very close or very distant with his grandchildren.
• 2p! Greece - He and 2p! Greece manage to get along.
• 2p! Holy Rome - Many believe that 2p! HRE is a younger version or previous incarnation of 2p! Germany, much like their 1p! counterparts.
• 2p! Italy - 2p! Italy acts quite harshly to 2p! Germany, much to his dismay. His scars are said to have been given to him by 2p! Italy. In some depcitions, he acts as a loyal "dog" to 2p! Italy.
• 2p! Japan - 2p! Japan is controlling of the 2p! Axis. 2p! Germany's laziness is often up against 2p! Japan's strictness.
• 2p! Prussia - 2p! Prussia and 2p! Germany typically have a good relationship. 2p! Germany tries to cheer up his brother and may even act like an older brother, despite being younger.
• 2p! Russia - They have a sour relationship because of World War II. They were involved in a romantic relationship before World War II.

1p! Germany vs. 2p! Germany

• 1p! Germany is clean and orderly. 2p! Germany is sloppy and doesn't care whether something is neat and tidy.
• 1p! Germany is very serious and hardworking, even finding hard to relax at all. 2p! Germany is easy-going, often slacking off. He would rather party than work.
• 1p! Germany is inexperienced with relationships. 2p! Germany is often depicted as being a ladies man.
• 1p! Germany is a sadist and is into BDSM, though he keeps these things close-lipped. 2p! Germany is typically depicted the same way, although he is much more open about it. Alternatively, he can be totally clueless about any kind of kinks or fetishes and is very vanilla in his interests.

Common 2p! Traits

It is common for 2p!s to be portrayed as murderous and obsessive. To most, they are a darker version of the original nations. However, because the original nations can be portrayed in the same way by the fandom, how much hold this has depends on the person making the story, artwork, or cosplay.

2p! Germany sometimes fits into this stereotype. In his darker stories, Germany is shown to be sadistically violent, with a deep love for torture and other painful activities.
